MURRAY RIVER (AUSTRALIA) - SUMMIT TO SOURCE TO SEA
Six years after crossing the Australian continent by bicycle as part of the Melted Helmet Tour, Rod traded his pedals for a paddle and ventured back to the land of kangaroos and koala bears to kayak the entire length of Australia’s longest river, the Murray (2500km). Not conent with simply starting his journey at the source of the Murray, Rod decided that an ascent of Australia's highest peak, Mt. Kosciuszko, would be in order before trekking into the bush to find the river's font. He then followed the Murray's slowly meandering course to the Southern Ocean.
